My Project
My fourth graders are working incredibly hard on building up their phonemic and phonological awareness. We work daily on phonics and play lots of whole-group games to make learning fun! Materials such as dry erase handhelds and markers will be great to use during these types of lessons! Students from other classrooms join us in our lessons, so having materials readily available in my room will help us spend more time on learning!
The MLs in my class specifically are working to combine their knowledge of phonics with word meaning!
The vocabulary game in this project will be something they really look forward to playing together.
The letter magnets will be a small group tool that I can use, but I can also lend to our aid or student teacher to use with other groups of students! The vowel/consonant separation will lend itself nicely to the phonics rules we are learning that rely on an understanding of vowels!
