This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I will be implementing daily phonics rotations where young readers can develop their reading comprehension and decode new words as they read. Strong phonics skills allow students to decode new words and build vocabulary instead of relying on memorizing sight words.
Making phonics fun is imperative for student engagement and motivation.
The board games allow students to learn phonics while practicing social skills like cooperation, sportsmanship, and following directions.
The math boards will allow us to work through our daily math without wasting paper or workbooks.
