Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are eager to learn and love coming to school! Most of my students are low income and have a harder life then should.

I strive to give my students the best learning environment possible to give them access to things they may not have at home, as well as a safe space to be themselves and be creative.

My students are a joy to be around and make my day everyday! They work really hard so we can be silly and have fun while we learn. I got one special class this year, filled with so many great learners and so many big hearts.

My Project

All of these materials will allow me to push a lot of my students in reading. We can use the materials in small groups and also in games. The dice would be really fun for the kids because they could make real words and nonsense or silly words. Making education fun is one of the most important things to do as a teacher!

These materials will allow accommodations and modifications for students high and low making it possible to reach every students educational needs.

Students will be more engaged when they are having fun or playing games. My students also love sorting and doing things on the board for everyone to see. They would be given the opportunity to be able to do this. Students love to be proud of their work and also pushed to reach new goals. My students are starting into blends and digraphs and the touch cards are very helpful for them to be able to see each sound say it and then blend it together in order to read the cards. This will help boost my students confidence in reading making them want to read more!
