This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are a fun-loving and hard-working bunch of first graders. They are learning how to read in two languages. They need to practice the letter sounds and letter names that they will blend into syllables, words, sentences and eventually paragraphs and books.

But first, they must have a strong foundation in phonemic awareness.

Materials from this project will help them practice this in a fun and engaging way. They will use the stamps and ink to practice their letters, syllables and words. They will also practice the new vocabulary they are learning in Spanish.
