Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
There is a need for consistent and systematic phonic lessons for older students. Students will reach an age where literacy moves from phonics instruction to comprehension and unfortunately, there are students who will require continued lessons with phonemic awareness skills. My goal for this project is to provide these students with the opportunity to continue their learning with targeted instruction that reinforces what their reading needs are.
I wanted to provide authentic and engaging reading opportunities for older students.
Older struggling readers should have the opportunity to continue developing their phonics skills.
