This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Phonics and writing centers are essential for first graders as they build strong literacy foundations. Phonics helps children connect letters with their sounds, improving reading fluency and spelling. Writing centers provide opportunities for students to practice forming letters, constructing sentences, and expressing their thoughts creatively.
These centers support differentiated learning, allowing children to work at their own pace while reinforcing language skills through engaging activities.
Together, they foster independence, boost confidence, and promote a love for reading and writing, setting the stage for future academic success in all subject areas.
Also, they need Headphones because they help them focus during independent learning activities by minimizing distractions and allowing them to hear instructions clearly.
