This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Being a Kindergarten teacher is such a privilege. I love making my classroom a place where the kids love to learn. These tool kits are essential to our classroom to help our kindergarteners on their scholastic journey.
I want my students to feel excited and confident when learning how to read.
The pop-its add a sensory component which helps with students with learning disabilities. Whisper phones will be used to help students hear individual letter sounds. While we read, the students will be wearing their "reading glasses". This helps make reading a fun activity. All the amazing phonics tools will be contained in a child friendly case.
All my students are amazing, and I can't wait to add this to our classroom. We will be using these tool kits in small groups as well as whole group. By having the kits, everyone is able to feel like superstar readers!
