Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are from Chicago and are part of the blended pre-school program. This program gives my students an opportunity to interact with many diverse learners. My kind preschoolers come to class every day to learn, discover, and explore.
They gleefully draw pictures, create structures, read books, dance, and sing throughout the remote learning day.
My students love identifying letters and their sounds, colors, shapes, and feelings (SEL). Since remote learning, my students have been trying their best to connect and stay active.
My Project
My students in preschool need new books that can keep them entertained and interested in reading. In our classroom, we enjoy our read-aloud time and use books throughout the day.
My four and five-year-olds love funny books and laughing together at storytime.
I picked Pete the Cats books because my students loved one Pete the Cat book that I read to them and I want to expand my Pete the Cat books for them! They love Pete the Cat and having more themed books in the classroom will keep them interested in reading!
