Pet Turtle to Teach Responsibility

My Project

I am hoping to get a pet turtle for my classroom. Kids love pets. Turtles are easy to care for, they are intelligent and can be trained, and they can encourage kids to be responsible for the life of another creature.

I am hoping to get set up with everything we need to care for a pet turtle.

I am asking for a Large Reptile Terrarium, a filter, rocks, tank decor, water conditioner, a turtle leash, food and other essential items so my students can learn how to care for our classroom pet. The amazing thing about turtles is that they have a long-life expectancy. Many years of classes will be able to enjoy this pet and give a lot of opportunities for students to develop some responsibility in the care of another life.
