Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
We are a comprehensive high school in Southern California with a student population of approximately 2,500 students. Our families provide the best for their students at home. We are also a very community-involved school, and our families send generations of students through our school. The staff and students think of one another as family, and we also enjoy hosting numerous community engagement events throughout the year. Your generous donation will help us continue to serve our community to the fullest.
My Project
Help us give our students PPE and fun, with a reusable face mask and fabric paint. We would like to give our students a reusable face mask for school, and the chance to personalize it with fabric paint and other bling. We will hold a mask decorating competition, hopefully in time for Halloween/Fall festivities, and have prizes for various categories of decoration! We have returned to in person instruction and learning and many students can use assistance getting reusable masks for school. Help us give our students essential supplies and a chance to show their personality through their mask decoration. We are excited to be back together in person and are gathering PPE supplies to maintain our safety.
