Personalized Classroom Library Books for French Class
Help me give my students access to reading material perfectly suited to their interests! By laminating the stories we write together, we can make sure they last as reading material for this year and years to come!
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
As a class, we love writing stories together in French, fantastical tales full of magic or personal accounts of our everyday lives, or a beautiful melding of the two. Once a story is complete, I type it out and print a copy to stay in our classroom library so students can practice their reading skills using material that is personalized to them.
The stories we write together are well-loved, but the paper copies don't hold up well, so being able to laminate them will ensure that they can be enjoyed all year and for years to come!
By preserving our stories, students will feel a sense of pride for their progress in French class and will be able to show off their work to future students of French.
