Personal Space Rug

Help me give my students a space where they can sit in front of the SMARTboard to learn, while also learning personal space.

My Students

I teach a class of high-energy kindergartners. They do their best learning hands-on, and they like to move a lot. My class has a wide range of abilities and home lives. They are happy to be at school and eager to learn. We are a K-2 school with over 600 students and we have 9 kindergarten classes. We are definitely a primary focused school with high standards for student learning. We believe all students can learn, and every staff member is committed to the success of each and every student. It is a wonderful place to teach and learn!

My Project

My students are great listeners and learners, but they have trouble understanding personal space. This rug will help them understand what personal space looks like and feels like. My students are up in front of my SMARTboard learning and participating in lessons a lot of the day. They look forward to working and sitting together, but struggle with spacing themselves out as they sit down. This rug would make a wonderful addition to our classroom. I can’t wait to see all their sweet faces when wonderful people like you help make this dream a reality. Thank you for reading more about my class project!
