My Project

PPE, or Personal Protective Equipment, is essential to any science classroom. The bandages, goggles, and gloves are essential to creating a safe classroom. Additionally, the addition of the elastic will allow our science classroom to perform more sustainably. Rather than throwing out goggles when the elastic breaks or no longer stretches, I can replace that elastic with new.

While PPE provides safety during labs, it also builds confidence amongst the students in our room.

Many of my students struggle to see themselves as scientists due to academic struggles and other inequity-fueled identity struggles. Wearing PPE, such as these vibrant goggles, helps my students see themselves as the capable, brilliant, and creative scientists we see them as.
