Help me give my students the personal materials they need for remote learning such as dry erase markers, erasers, and folders.
FULLY FUNDED! Mrs. Homan's classroom raised $658
This project is fully funded
My Students
My school is a public school in Chicago where ninety-nine percent of the students receive free or reduced-price lunch. My students struggle to get the materials that they need to learn, especially while at home.
My students are considered high-needs and have many stressors compared to the average 7 to 8-year-old.
Because of this, I work very hard to make sure the students at our school receive the learning, resources, and exposure they need to surpass what some statistics may say. With new materials, we will be able to provide even more opportunities for students to feel successful and overcome challenges. It will allow us to send materials to their homes to ensure they can continue learning at home. Furthermore, it will provide opportunities for independent practice. Students will not feel the anxiety of missing out due to a lack of materials.
My Project
Currently there are a lot of questions in regards to school this fall. One thing we do know is that whether we are inside or outside of the classroom, things are going to look different! My students lack the materials they need to be successful during remote learning. Many of them are in desperate need of personal supplies to enhance their learning.
CDC guidelines dictate that students cannot share supplies when we return to school.
The materials I requested will be used for students to organize their learning at home. The book bins can be filled with books from my classroom that students can trade for new books when they are done. The school supplies will allow them to complete activities assigned during the school closure. Whether we are learning together or apart, this project will allow my students to get the materials they need to learn in their hands and can be safe by not sharing with other classmates.
With your support, my students will start the school year off strongly with the supplies and materials they need to be successful with remote learning!
