This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Many of my students do not have some of the basic hygiene needs like deodorant and feminine hygiene products. Some of the students at my high school are economically disadvantaged students that produce amazing work. I have never been more proud to teach such a diverse group of students. The course is very rigorous, but the students never cease to amaze me with the quality of their work. This can often lead to complaints from other students, and embarrassing moments for those who do not have basic hygiene supplies. I purchase these items for my students, but it does run out quickly and becomes very expensive to maintain.
