This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

At our school, we support all of our students in managing their own personal hygiene routines. There are some students who need help with managing their own personal hygiene routines. Many have sensory difficulties and are anxious around water and many cleaning products. Exposure and practice at school can help them become more independent in this area. We are requesting deodorants, and soaps. The practice of personal hygiene not only helps the individual student be clean and healthy, but can also protect the health of others.

Some of our students don't have access to these products.

With your help, we will be able to stock our hygiene cabinet with the requested hygiene products, deodorants and soaps so students have immediate access to the products as they need them.

Good hygiene can help a student focus on completing their school work.

Poor hygiene may affect a child's physical and mental health. Maintaining good personal hygiene will also help prevent you from spreading diseases to other people.
