My Project

I plan to us card games and dry erase boards to gamify learning for students in financial literacy can be an engaging and effective approach. Financial literacy is an essential skill, and gamification can make the learning process more enjoyable and memorable.

I will use these materials to create reusable Financial Literacy Card Games that focuses on various financial concepts such as budgeting, saving, investing, and understanding interest rates.

For example, each card could represent a financial scenario, like "unexpected expenses" or "saving for a vacation," and players have to make decisions on how to manage their money in these situations.

Use different types of cards, such as income cards, expense cards, investment cards, and savings cards.

Include action cards that introduce unexpected events or financial opportunities, mirroring real-life financial situations.

Dry Erase Boards for Financial Planning:

Provide each student with a dry erase board and markers.

Use the dry erase boards for activities like budgeting exercises. Students can draw up their budgets, list income sources, and allocate funds to different categories (e.g., rent, groceries, entertainment).

They can make adjustments as they progress through the game, simulating real-life financial decision-making.

Interactive Learning:

Encourage students to discuss their financial choices and strategies with each other, fostering collaboration and critical thinking.

Allow students to present their financial plans on the dry erase boards, explaining their decisions and receiving feedback from their peers and the teacher.
