Personal Dry Erase Boards

My Students

My students are enthusiastic student musicians at a Title I elementary school in the Bronx! They are actively engaged in performing and making music together. They are acquiring the skills necessary to be members of a musical community, and many of them pursue music outside of the general music classroom as well.

Together, they are becoming musically educated and will have the skills needed to analyze, perform, create, and respond to music.

However, because we are without a classroom, we are limited to some of the materials that we desperately need. Thank you for your help!

My Project

The use of a whiteboard is a daily activity in my music classroom. With personal dry erase boards, students can practice writing notation, compose, and dictate without the use of paper. The whiteboards allow me to see exactly what they are doing, as well as provide an easy place for them to show and share their work. The personal whiteboards and dry erase markers also make our musical activities more student-centered. The whiteboards and dry erase markers will save the use of paper throughout my school as well.

By donating to our project, you will help improve student ownership, increase their academic achievement, and promote environmentally conscious learning.

By requesting 58 whiteboards and 96 dry erase markers, I am able to provide a class set for my largest classes and choir. This will be able to service all of my students from 1-5 in General Music and Choir.
