Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My amazing students come from a low income community and we are considered a Title 1 School. I work hard to give my students all the supplies they need, but we continually are running out of the most important supply of all - PENCILS!
I never would imagine how we go through so many pencils, except that we work so hard and do so much work! My students constantly are writing, erasing and perfecting their work which means I am buying boxes and boxes of pencils each week. This is where you can help!
My students deserve to have pencils, erasers and their own pencil sharpener. Right now they have hand held sharpeners that often break and ruin their pencils, causing both them and me much frustration.
Your donation will ensure that my students will not worry about coming to school lacking the simple supply of a pencil. I will be able to supply them each week with a new pencil and eraser as well as the opportunity to sharpen their pencils with ease! It may seem mundane, but this supply can save time and allow my students to continue working towards their goals this school year!
