This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
We use Sharpies on an everyday basis. Sharpies help students color inside the lines and also teach them about neatness in line and shape forms. Sharpies are also used to decorate clay sculptures as they are waterproof to add details and be painted over using tempera paints. We use Sharpies to introduce color, pattern, and neatness in art. Sharpies are used in optical illusions, which are STEAM Lessons and zentangle designs. The fact that they are pretty odorless makes the art room air fresher. Other knock-off markers smell pretty bad and cause headaches.
More than three‑quarters of students from low‑income households
