Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
One year later, the Perler beads are depleted. We are in desperate need of a restock! What started as a simple side project quickly became one of the most beloved activities in our art studio. I watched students plan their designs, research patterns, collaborate with one another, and create thoughtful gifts for friends and family. The creativity, problem-solving, and joy these small beads inspired was truly special.
Simple materials like Perler beads often ignite the first spark of creativity.
A small design may lead a student to explore more complex mediums like ceramics or painting. These resources not only nurture artistic expression, but also build confidence, patience, and a deep love for creating. With your support, we can continue to provide these meaningful opportunities for our students to grow, collaborate, and share their creativity with others.
