My students need access to periodicals like Scholastic News, Story works and Geography Spin that inspire them to read throughout the day. I want my students to develop a love for reading all materials.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are high achievers. They love to put their best food forward, and are inspired to think outside of the box. Their parents value education greatly, and do much to support learning outside of the school day.
The students of today will be the leaders of tomorrow; future doctors, lawyers, entrepreneurs, engineers, and software designers.
As a teacher it is my job to prepare these students for careers that are not in existence yet. By giving my students opportunities in the classroom to grow and succeed, I can see that I am shaping the future of our GREAT nation.
My Project
Magazines are regularly read by adults. Developing a love for reading starts at an early age. If I can see to it that my students will love to read all types of materials, then we can be more successful in and out of the classroom.
These magazines (Storyworks, Geography Spin and Scholastic News) can create scholars that are enthusiastic about learning the current events of the world.
Having a magazine subscription in our classroom gives my students access to different types of writing and news related information.
What better way to help students learn to enjoy reading, than exposing them to a plethora of print rich materials!
