This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Menstration, especially in the beginning, can be a scary time for girls. But it doesn't have to be!

I would like to get materials to make my students period bags that include wipes, a compostable bag, a pair of underwear, pads, and a card of affirmation!

I also have included books in this DonorsChoose so that student can check out books to learn more about their changing bodies. I am happy to always have these conversations with my students but sometimes a book is simply more comfortable for kids.

Periods happen and it doesn't have to be the worst day in the world. And this project is all about that.
