Performing Original Puppet Shows and Turning them into Movies!
My students need a collapsible green screen and hand puppets so they can write a play using puppets, record voiceovers and their puppet shows to turn them into movies.
I have the pleasure to work with an engaged and excited group of students! My students love to work together, collaborate, write, and want to create original plays using puppets and a green screen. My students will record their voices using GarageBand and present their puppet plays on the large screen in our school auditorium for family, students, and friends to see.
My students are sweet, caring, hardworking, creative, and an excitable group of 25 third grade students in sunny Los Angeles.
Over 32% of the students at our school qualify for free or reduced-price lunch, and everyone receives free breakfast daily.
Our school believes in integrating the arts into our academic lessons because we feel this taps into all the students' interests. My students speak English at school, and many speak Spanish, Tagalog, or another language at home. We are a wonderful mix of cultures, and we support each other as we grow and learn.
My Project
My students love to write their own plays, but the auditorium is not often available for practice and performances. I have requested puppets and a collapsible green screen so they can make movies of their puppet performance, record their voiceovers using GarageBand, and make iMovies of their original puppet shows.
Having these amazing resources means that my students can quickly turn their ideas into fantastic performances that their classmates, peers, family, and friends can see.
I will show all the finished movies of the puppet shows during a Family Night so parents and family can watch the great puppet shows.
