Performing On and Off the Field: Help Our Teams Shine
Help me give my students water bottles for this sports season. This is our second year having sports teams, and we want to build on the momentum by making sure every athlete stays hydrated and feels supported.

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
At our school of performing arts in the South Bronx, our students show up with heart, hustle, and a strong sense of community. Whether they’re on stage or on the court, they bring their full selves to everything they do. What I love most about them is their determination to grow not just as individuals, but as a team.
This is only our second year having organized sports teams, and already our students have embraced the opportunity to learn new skills, support one another, and represent our school with pride.
But we’re still building our program from the ground up, and many of our athletes don’t have access to the basic gear they need.
Reusable water bottles will help our students stay healthy and hydrated during practices and games especially on hot days when access to clean water is essential.
