My students are a diverse group ranging from special education to gifted and talented students from all socioeconomic backgrounds. Introducing them to the leading technologies puts them on a level field for success. Being able to use computer-aided design (CAD) software is a skill that can be used in many STEM fields. They are being taught to design objects using 3D software. The next step is to print their creations. Micro memory cards are needed to transfer their designs to the 3D printers. To bring the educational experience to a full circle the students will need to draw their ideas on paper, design on the computer, and finally print a structure that exhibits mastery of the design process.
