it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My Virtual Classroom is so special because although we are learning through Zoom, my students will show up every day with smiles on their faces. My classroom is built on trust and comfort. Students feel comfortable to tell me when things are going too fast or when they need help. I provide consistency in my daily lessons to provide familiarity during these difficult times.
My Project
As I reflect on my 1st semester in Distance Learning, I have realized that audio and being able to write on an iPad has been difficult. I have problems understanding what my ELLs say and my students that have speech problems. The students have difficulties understanding what I write on Zoom because I don't have an Apple Pencil.
Getting AirPods and an Apple Pencil will help me be a better teacher for my students.
AirPods will allow me to listen carefully to how my ELLs and Speech students are pronouncing words. This will allow me to help them when needed. The Apple Pencil will help me be a better teacher by writing easy to understand Math equations that will help my students. Many times I write on the Zoom white board, and the letters and numbers don't make sense. These items will benefit my students' 2nd semester education.
