My Project
My students are wonderful and creative. One of there favorite things to do is use puppets in music class!
Puppets are so versatile and we can do so many things with them!
My younger students use puppets for vocal exploration, finding there singing, speaking, whisper, and shouting voices. They love talking "through" the puppet and making it make all sorts of fun noises! My older students love making up stories with puppets and are very creative. Puppets also help my students to practice Social Emotional Learning, such as identifying emotions and practicing self-regulation.
We currently only have one or two puppets who have movable mouths, which make using a puppet so much easier and fun. This project would get us 5 well-made puppets with movable mouths to use for years to come!
