Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Students in my school come from low income families and many different cultural backgrounds, but when we come together they all have one goal- to succeed! My students love to read and write exciting stories. Having adequate digital materials and things to make learning fun will make all the difference for them during this challenging learning time
My students are curious, eager learners who love to work with technology to learn all subjects!
Today’s readers are tomorrow’s leaders!
I know having the materials like access to digital materials for me to effectively create meaningful lessons will help my students have great success this year!
My Project
First grade students benefit so much from having writing, reading and math modeled for them. Having a functioning document camera we will be able to present various materials to the class, like books, pictures, number lines and tens frames.
Modeling how to use different tools and resources will help all of our students make huge gains in all subject areas.
It will also help us to be environmentally friendly by not making enormous amount of copies to hand out to the children. Both of these make having a document camera a win win for our class!
