This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students consist of three- and four-year-olds who love to learn. They are eager to explore through hands-on activities, and I'm eager to engage them in meaningful play experiences to foster lifelong learning experiences. They range in different levels of academic achievement including language development and about 50% are English language learners.
Our school is an early childhood center whose motto is to spread a love of learning and respect for one another.
Learning can only take place when our students care about their school and friends. Caring for your friends and teachers starts with role models so that students take pride in their school and learning will naturally occur.
My Project
Students will utilize this Quiet Time Privacy Cube for numerous reasons. It will provide an area in the classroom to find quiet reading time that will be cozy and comfortable and be inviting for all. This area will be a relaxing area that will provide all students an opportunity to learn in a quiet space. This space will provide a space to retreat when they feel upset and are looking for some time to feel better. This space will help students deal with feelings. Most importantly, it's an additional area of choice in a child friendly preschool classroom that will aid in reducing stress.
