My Students
During remote learning, our students have struggled to find adequate resources and access technology. Many of our students' parents are essential workers, and are working hard to balance their responsibilities and the responsibility of remote learning. Although we live in a very big city, our students often live within smaller neighborhood boundaries and do not have access to resources, opportunity, an materials.
My Project
Many of my students' families have been seriously impacted by COVID-19 and the related economic challenges. Families are struggling to meet basic needs like rent and utilities, and the extra burden of school supplies is almost unimaginable.
Your donations will put pencils, notebooks, markers, highlighters, scissors, rulers, whiteboards, and other necessary school supplies directly into the hands of my students.
These supplies will be sent home, should we begin learning remotely, or distributed in the classroom if we begin with a more traditional format. No child should have to go without these basic necessities, and no family should have to choose between dinner and school supplies.
