Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
These tools will help create a more focused and productive classroom environment for my students. The air fresheners will keep our space smelling clean and inviting, helping students feel more comfortable and less distracted. Pencils are essential for daily classwork, note-taking, and problem-solving, especially for students who may not always have supplies. A reliable keyboard will support our digital learning activities, from writing assignments to math practice, ensuring students can work efficiently and confidently. Together, these items will support both focus and function in our learning space.
My students are special because they show resilience, creativity, and determination every day, despite the challenges they face growing up in the inner-city.
They come to school with big dreams and a strong desire to learn, often overcoming barriers that many others don’t have to think about. This project will have a direct impact by creating a more comfortable, well-equipped classroom where they can focus on their work without the stress of missing basic supplies. Clean air, working tools, and simple comforts can go a long way in helping students feel valued, respected, and ready to engage in learning. Small improvements in the environment can lead to big improvements in confidence, participation, and academic success.
