This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Since the pandemic and the increase in accessibility to online teaching tools and programs, there has been a push to just go all digital. It seemed like a great idea now that all of the students have computers. Over the last several years, what I have noticed has been striking.

What I have found is that my students retain information better when they use pencil and paper and write things down.

It does not even compare. As such, this project will help me to provide pencils to my students so that they all have access to the most fundamental school tool. I am also including a sharpener because with lots of pencils comes lots of pencils that need to be sharpened.
