This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The pencil is still the king of the classroom. Even though we have continued to move toward a more technical world, students continue to need the mighty pencil.

The pencil is needed by students to solve math computations, take notes as they read and mark up the text, and draft stories they create.

I want to provide my students with many options for pencils and erasers that they can use. The colorful ones, the basic pencil, and various erasers to select from and fun sticky notes to write their thoughts as they read. Students enjoy having options. Providing options encourages students to work and learn.
