Pencils Are So 2009 ...Dry Erase is the Wave of the Future!
My students need 23 write and wipe dry erase boards and erasers to use during small group time and whole group time to practice our language arts and math skills.

My Students
Save the trees, save our budget, and save us from monotony! Always using pencil and paper to complete short practices and reviews is not worth passing out paper. I need to quickly see my students capabilities and catch their attention. Using dry erase boards is one way to do this.
My students this year are some amazing 1st graders!
We are in a wonderful new school, but many of the amenities older schools have built up are not available to us now and budgets do not leave any wiggle room for items that just enhance learning. My students like to have lots of different avenues to enhance and showcase their learning and I would like the opportunity to give them as many avenues as I can.
My Project
With each student using their own individual write and wipe off dry erase board and erasers I will be able to more quickly assess which students are understanding topics that we are introducing or reviewing in language arts and math! My students will be more of an active participant in their own learning rather than passive participants who only watch what the teacher does up on the white board.
Keeping learning and practice new and exciting for students is so important and just using pencil and papers in this day and age is just not going to cut it.
I need lots of different types of ways to catch my students attention and lo and behold dry erase markers is one thing that excites children! We will use these boards and markers practically everyday all year long! What broader of an impact could there be?
