Pencils and Supplies, Oh, My!

My Students

This year, I have a wide range of students. Most of my students are Native American. Some are eager to learn, and others will need that extra push to succeed. The children seem to work really well together and encourage each other.

I believe that all students can and will learn.

They just need to be nurtured and encouraged to succeed. Some just need to know that they are loved and can achieve their goals as long as they don't quit and never give up.

My Project

I have requested some basic supplies to help get the new school year started off on the right foot. I have chosen Ticonderoga pencils for my students to use to help perfect there writing skills. My students will use these pencils on a daily basis while writing in their journals and writing their spelling words. I have also requested colored index cards to help my students learn their sight words. I will make each kid a set of sight words each week. Hopefully, this will help them learn and remember the sight words.

Kleenex's are needed to help keep germs down.

We are hoping to keep germs at minimum in our classroom by not sharing supplies. One way of helping is by me sharpening the pencils for my kids. Our pencil sharpener is on its last leg and a new one would help keep our pencils on point.
