Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are English language learners and haven been affected educationally and socially due to the pandemic.
My students are learning in two languages, and need my support now more than before the pandemic.
They live in a low poverty area in the Bronx. Most of my students are struggling readers. They are struggling during this time of distance learning. We are happy to have them back in the building.
My Project
My students need pencils and a good sharpener at mid school year. To begin our daily routine, my students need pencils to complete their daily work, and a good sharpener.
Having a pencil available every day in the classroom and a good sharpener will provide them with the tools necessary to complete their daily work.
Beginning the day prepared with supplies they need will give my students the opportunity to learn and show what they have learned.
Your donations will help my students have these essential supplies to complete their work. This will help my students have what they need to be engaged and be active learners.
