My students need basic school supplies such as pencils, crayons, and glue in order to showcase their creativity, not only in their writing but in their visual arts.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Be Prepared! This seems to always be the number one rule in most classrooms. Do you remember what it was like to bring your fresh new pencils, crayons and other supplies to school? My students may not all have the opportunity to bring new supplies to school, and boy what a difference would that make.
My third grade class is made up of about 25-28 students with great attitudes towards education.
They are hard working students who love to engage in new learning experiences throughout all content areas, but have limited resources such as school supplies. Many of our students are currently performing below academic expectations and the majority of our students are recipients of free lunch. For these reasons and other personal reasons, many of my students may not have the means to bring in fresh new supplies to school.
My Project
During the upcoming school year, our third grade students will immerse in a variety of units that require more than just reading, and writing. it will require for students to complete tasks and activities that involve cutting, gluing, coloring, drawing, and using their creativity.
With the limited resources that they come in with, my students will not be able to show their imaginative and creative side when it comes to the arts, We have been trying to incorporate the arts in all of our content areas in order to help our students visualize their creativity and meet their needs. So many students are so artistic, and without the appropriate tools. they get discouraged and give up on their abilities to be creative.
Knowing that they will have supplies on a daily basis in the classroom, will give them one less thing to stress about and put their energy toward their work.
What more can a child ask for but for new school supplies.
Children get so excited when the school year begins so that they can show off their supplies. Wouldn't you love to see every child with a smile knowing they have supplies to use? This project will do just that. Help every child succeed this upcoming school year with the right supplies. Give my students the chance to learn with the gift of basic school needs.
