My Students
My school is located on the far south side of Chicago. A vast majority and students live in our neighborhood and are receiving free or reduced-price lunch. My students are all of Mexican or African-American descent. Many of my Mexican students come from Spanish-speaking households. My students are hard working, driven citizens.
Our students often lack the supplies necessary to succeed in school each day, and our city's budget is not helping things.
Your donation will help us with a necessity for any classroom: pencils!
My Project
These pencils will allow us to write throughout the year. My students can't all afford school supplies, and the simplest learning instrument, the pencil would really help.
Pencils allow us to write, compute, and think; we pencils to keep growing this year.
Without pencils, we can't write down our thoughts and do our best thinking work. Your help would go a long way to ensuring we succeed this year in our classroom.
