This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I am requesting plastic pencil boxes for my incoming preschool students. My students will begin their first year of school, many of whom have never been away from their families. Since PreK is not what it was years ago, I want to welcome students with a shiny pencil box that will have their name in vinyl adhered to it.
Each pencil box will contain my students' school supplies, stickers, fidget tool, and small family photo to help comfort them during this pivotal stage in their lives.
Although, small in size, these pencil boxes will teach my students to keep track of their supplies, respect others' belongings, and value what they have stored inside.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
