Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are young, active, and eager to learn. This school year is like no other. We are 100% distance learning. Zoom is the new classroom.
The majority of my students are English language learners and our school is 100% free breakfast and lunch.
I want to help provide the resources for them to have the best possible learning while distance learning.
My Project
Help me provide my second grade students with pencil boxes and the necessary writing tools used for every day work and engagement. I want to help foster confident learners who can keep track of their supplies. They will have a writing process folder and composition notebook to help organize their writing as well as folders for other subjects.
These well stocked pencil boxes and other materials will help ensure the readiness and engagement for daily learning while providing a sense of their own responsibility and sole ownership of their things.
