Help me give my students Gelli Plates, paint and brayers to feel like professional artists and have new experiences and exploration in art through the medium of printmaking!
Printmaking is a fun and exciting art medium that allows students to envision millions of possibilities for creating and reproducing artwork. It is my hope to provide the tools for my students to explore the techniques and processes that professional and famous artists, like Andy Warhol, have used for many years. Through the use of Gelli Plates, paint, and brayers, my students will apply their knowledge of color and composition to create vibrant works of art. This project will guide students through fascinating moments in art history as well as teach them to create art through a new and exciting medium!
Many of my students do not have many art supplies at home, so it is important to me to provide them with opportunities to explore a variety of special artistic techniques and tools that they may not normally have.
They are extremely creative and by having these experiences, their love and appreciate of art will continue to grow and enrich their lives for many years to come!
