This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I love how my students come to school everyday ready to learn and collaborate with their peers. A calming corner is an essential tool in a the classroom to help students manage their emotions and reset when they feel overwhelmed. My goal with these materials is to provide a safe, quiet space with calming materials so my students can practice healthy coping skills the ability to regain focus on their learning. This calming space will support emotional well-being, reduce disruptions during class, and create a more positive, inclusive environment where every child feels seen and supported.
