My Project
As a physical education teacher, the supplies I request from DonorsChoose will improve my teaching this year by enhancing my presentations and motivation in my gym class. My students support each other's learning during my gym classes, and I always make sure no one falls behind, especially when I have classes with special needs or new students. Teaching is a fantastic career, and I also enjoy how my students make me feel like I am doing more than just working but something I am passionate about. One of my long-term goals is to make my elementary school a track and field academy with students understanding the fundamentals of track and field and enjoying the sport in general.
Improving my ability to deliver lessons to my students effectively will increase their enjoyment of track and field and its background.
As my students have a better understanding of the background of track and field and where it originally started will help them understand the basis of the sport and the changes over time to track and field as well as other sports. Improving my student's maximum speed during my lesson called Track and Field is one of my primary goals this school year. I ordered a projector and easel stand to help with my presentation skills and lesson delivery when it comes to teaching track and field. I will have my students sprint during the 30-meter fly. My Students will learn to effectively jump during plyometric activities. I will have the students compete in challenges based on these workouts for prizes throughout the school year. Prizes students can win after competing in these challenges include stickers, pop, mini toys, and other prizes.
