Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are in a Title I school. They are a great group of K-8 graders. I see all grades four times a week. It is a great feeling to see their smiling faces every day. The best is when the littles come up and give hugs.
Covid has impacted physical education drastically over the last year and half.
When we were 100% online it was extremely hard to motivate kids to be active in a virtual setting. As the students have returned to school this year and it has been so much more rewarding engaging with the students in person. The Spikeball Game requested will provide a variety of new games to get them excited about PE again. I have already collected lesson plans that align with standards. Such as: demonstrates competency in a variety of motor skills and movement patterns, exhibits responsible personal and social behavior that respects self and others, and applies knowledge of concepts, principles, strategies and tactics related to movement and performance.
The wireless microphone will also Bluetooth to the speaker so that I can keep the kids socially distance and communicate lessons, rules and instructions, feedback, etc without having to throughout the gym.
