This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I teach in a very low income community where often "fun" is left out to make sure that the essentials are met. I fully understand that that the essentials are important, and my school does a great job of making sure that the essentials are met, but we have to remember that these are kids and that some times we have to change things up to create engagement.

Although it might be seem like a small idea, adding a tunnel for students to run through during PE can really change the entire atmosphere of every class.

What I am trying to do with this tunnel create an atmosphere that is similar to track clubs, and big sporting events, where athletes run through the tunnel at various stages or events to break up the normal routines.
