Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our physical education department takes pride in providing various sports and skill development opportunities to students. From pickleball, to basketball, volleyball, and an intensive weight room unit, students are provided with a unique opportunity to develop in many different sports, games, and skills. Every year, our physical education department applies for grants in the hopes for new equipment for our students. Many of the items that were requested would largely improve our volleyball unit, weight room unit, pickleball unit, and basketball unit. The volleyball hopper would significantly improve the unit because it is an 8-week unit where the volleyballs are used across all 630 students. The pull cart would allow for easy transmission of various equipment to the outside facilities. Ultimately, this project would help boost student engagement and help teachers provide unique learning experiences to the students.
