My Project

Hi! I am the Physical Educator at a school in Brooklyn. Our school is in desperate need of new and even functioning equipment, and city funding is at an all-time low. More than 75% of my students come from low-income housing.

My goal as a PE teacher is to equip my students with the fundamental skills to become lifelong physical learners, the knowledge to enjoy health and wellness and expose them to sports and activities they may not get the opportunity to experience outside of school.

Our PE program is the heart of our school community as my students enjoy every minute of being physically active. However, without proper equipment, learning and practicing these fundamental skills has become less and less of a reality. With your help and this new balls, rackets and nets, students would have exposure to sports and activities they may never play otherwise such as floor hockey, badminton, European handball and yoga.
