This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I am proud to say that I am a Special Education teacher working in a Title 1 setting. I work in a self-contained classroom with children that present with significant learning challenges. They are amazing human beings and deserve the best that life has to offer. The cost of supplemental teaching supplies can be extremely high and oftentimes out of reach for me to purchase for my students.

The PCI Reading Program is a sight-words based curriculum designed to help students with significant learning differences learn to read. This is exactly what we need in our program. I believe this could change some of their lives and help them finally learn to read.
