Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I run our schools PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports) store. Students earn points for our values of standing tall, running as a pack, and having strength and character. Our Lobos can use those points to shop from our school store and our best sellers are snacks! Students are always eager to help out and earn their PBIS points and sharing snacks helps build community.
Students are always eager to make a difference and will go to a great extent to make sure that everyone is taken care of.
We are a relatively small campus for our district and we take pride that we can reach to each student that arrives on our campus.
Students have the opportunity to use their points to donate to local charities, snacks, and swag. Our students love to be rewarded with snacks and being the growing teens that they are, they love to buy throughout the day. Our students will benefit from this by being recognized for the values that they demonstrate. Students also choose the snacks and drinks that they would like to see in the store for their rewards.
